The current contract for WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has an option for renewal and most expect it will be renewed after it expires at next year's Wrestlemania. Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Lesnar's dates under the current deal would be Wrestlemania 34 or the post- Wrestlemania Raw. There are also certain rights WWE has with Lesnar which will go through the first week of August 2018 if a new deal isn't reached.

Regarding rumors of Lesnar possibly returning to UFC to fight Jon Jones, the feeling among everyone is that the fight will never happen. If Lesnar does decide to return to UFC for another fight, it would likely not happen until August. The Observer adds while WWE has ties to WME, IMg, the owners of UFC, things aren't smooth between the two sides. UFC President Dana White and Triple H have a good business relationship however it is a more difficult situation with Vince McMahon.
