Former AEW Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose had a sharp response for a social media user who targeted her with an insulting comment after she took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
Rose participated in the challenge to show her support for former AEW star Rebel, also known as Tanea Brooks, who announced earlier in 2026 that she had been diagnosed with ALS.
However, rather than focusing on the reason behind Rose’s video, one user on X decided to direct a personal attack at the former AEW champion, writing:
“You still look like a man, especially with that hairline sir.”
Rose was quick to fire back, making it clear the comment had done little to upset her.
“Oh nooooo you’ve hurt my feelings and made me soooooooooooo sad by saying things that are completely obvious to literally anyone who isn’t vision impaired… only difference is I’m comfortable and confident enough to rock with it while you hide behind a anime picture because you’re a coward and can never live up to being the man you wish you were 🤭 tee hee.”
After the exchange attracted attention, Rose was questioned about why she had chosen to respond rather than simply ignore the remark.
Rose explained that answering was her way of showing the person responsible that their attempt to upset her had failed. She also felt that challenging comments of that nature could send a message to others who encounter similar abuse online.
“I replied so that he knows he didn’t win. He didn’t get to me. It doesn’t affect me. I literally giggled and finish eating my cliff bar.🤷🏽♀️ people will continue to do fcked up sht until they’re checked so I checked him. Other people will see it and know that this kind of sh*t doesn’t bother me… it just doesn’t. I’m not gonna unravel over these kinds of statements. I have a different outlook on my transness personally idk what to tell ya..🤷🏽♀️and THEY are in fact wasting THIER time.”
