Ring of Honor continues to build momentum as it works toward crowning its first-ever Women’s Pure Champion, with three new competitors officially announced for the tournament.
During the latest episode of Ring of Honor TV, it was revealed that Deonna Purrazzo, Taya Valkyrie, and Leila Grey will be joining the field. They are set to compete alongside Serena Deeb and Queen Aminata, making up the first five confirmed participants for the highly anticipated ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament.
In an exciting development, it was confirmed that Queen Aminata and Serena Deeb will square off in a first-round matchup. Originally, this match had been scheduled for the Supercard of Honor event, which was initially planned for May. However, with recent changes to the schedule, that show will now take place during All In weekend on Friday, July 11.
At this time, Ring of Honor has not yet announced the total number of entrants who will be competing in the tournament.
The introduction of the ROH Women’s Pure Championship was made official by ROH and AEW owner Tony Khan during an ROH television taping held on April 12, adding even more excitement and prestige to Ring of Honor’s growing women’s division.
