20 years ago today on May 5, 2002, legal issues would force the then World Wrestling Federation to undergo a sudden rebranding.
A court in England ruled WWF breached an agreement with the World Wildlife Fund over the use of the name and all mentions of WWF and the logos had to be censored. In 2012, WWE reached a settlement allowing the company to use archived footage unedited and without the hideous "blur" censoring the WWF logo.
The ad campaign at the time was centered around the phrase "Get The F Out" which was used on advertisements and merchandise.
