Drew McIntyre and Happy Corbin will face off at WrestleMania 38 this weekend, however many of McIntyres fans are not happy he has been given such a low profile match considering he was WWE Champion not so long ago.
During the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed why WWE has booked McIntyre in this way and the fact it was done to allow him to go against bigger opponents later, as right now they do not have anybody for him:
"It’s role is to give Drew McIntyre win at WrestleMania so he can then go against bigger guys, you know, bigger stars. So it’s just they have nobody.
They don’t have anyone else ready for him. So that’s what turned out."
