Shane McMahon might not be on WWE television right now due to creative differences stemming from an incident at the 2022 Royal Rumble, but he seemingly is still working for the company in a business capacity.
The owner of South Africa’s Sharks rugby team Marco Masotti revealed on his personal Twitter that he met with Shane this week and tweeted he is "excited for a partnership between WWE and rugby."
The pair met on Monday, with the tweet going on Tuesday, so it seems that things might not be so bad that Shane is not entirely out the door.
It remains to be seen if Shane McMahon will return to WWE television anytime soon.
So grateful for a night out with brothers Shane McMahon (son of WWE Vince) and Doug Cifu (co-owner of Florida Panthers). Excited for a partnership between WWE and rugby. @WWE @SharksRugby @FlaPanthersBlog @Dougielarge @shanemcmahon pic.twitter.com/WyV2qLDlmb
