AEW Wanted To Sign Lita Prior To Her WWE Return

Lita made her return to SmackDown tonight ahead of her upcoming participation in the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble match.

Fightful is reporting that prior to her return to WWE Television the multi-time Women's champion was in talks to join AEW however a deal was never reached and she is back with WWE for a stint. AEW reportedly had a major storyline up for the WWE Hall Of Famer.

During tonight's SmackDown, Lita said that she has one more run left in her and she plans on winning the Women’s Royal Rumble so she can main event WrestleMania. Charlotte Flair interrupted her and delivered some trash talk prompting Lita to hit Flair with the Twist of Fate.
