Carmelo Hayes Unifies NXT North American & Cruiserweight Title At New Year’s Evil

A unified North American Champion was crowned at NXT New Year's Evil 2022.

In a great back-and-forth match that witnessed the crowd chanting “holy sh*t,” as both men pulled out all the stops, Strong target Hayes' back, the North American Champion gained control when he countered a superplex into a cutter.

Hayes eventually delivered a leg drop from the top rope to the back of Strong's head to pick up the historic win.

Following the match, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams celebrated with his two new titles.
