The Reason Why Vince McMahon Reportedly Nixed Elias Reboot

Elias has been off WWE television for a while now with plans at one stage for him to return following a series of vignettes that started to air a few weeks back hinting that he has dropped his music gimmick.

In an update from insider source @WrestleVotes on Twitter, Vince McMahon reportedly nixed Elias' return as his repackaged look had him looking too similar to WWE Hall Of Famer Randy Savage with colorful trunks and similar beard, and plans regarding Elias are reportedly now "back to square 1."

Will we ever see Elias back in WWE ring?

Interesting note on Elias, source states they had no end plan for graveyard vignettes. Just shot them to kill off the “music” gimmick. His initial rebranding weeks back looked to similar to Randy Savage w/ colorful trunks & beard so Vince & co didn’t like it. Back to square 1.
