AEW "Ghostbusters" Parody Wasn't The Original Plan, TNT/WarnerMedia Steps In

AEW "Ghostbusters" Parody Wasn't The Original Plan, TNT/WarnerMedia Steps In

It is being reported by Fightful Select that the decision to have The Elite dress up like the Ghostbusters on AEW Dynamite last night was a late change from the original plans.

Originally, AEW was going to have The Elite use a Squid Games-inspired entrance/costume combination.

However, either WarnerMedia or TNT officials reportedly got wind of the plans and nixed them before the show hit the air.

There was reportedly heat over the idea of them parodying Squid Games.

So, it was decided to change it to Ghostbusters (complete with an original parody of the theme for The Elite.)

You can read a tweet from AEW's music guy Mikey Rukus about making the song on the fly.
