It was previously reported by Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Radio that WWE would begin the returning King of the Ring and first-ever Queen of the Ring tournaments on the October 8th episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

The finals of both tournaments have been scheduled to take place at WWE Crown Jewel 2021 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In addition to this, PWInsider is reporting that FOX is lining up a preview special for the tournament that will air next weekend on local affiliates between October 1st and October 3rd, depending on where your market is.

The last King of the Ring winner was Baron Corbin, who won in 2019.
