WWE Officials Reportedly Apologized To Zelina Vega Concerning Release

As seen on Friday's WWE SmackDown on FOX, Zelina Vega made her return after being released by the company in November 2020 for reportedly breaching her contract over wrestlers using third-party platforms.

A report from PWInsider reveals that there were many in the company who feel she should have been retained and not let go from her contract, and conversations about her return took place over the last few months.

During those conversations, WWE officials reportedly apologized to Vega for her release and then offered her a new deal.

Zelina Vega returns: SmackDown, July 2, 2021
