After coming out as bisexual during a YouTube video with his boyfriend a few years ago, professional wrestler Anthony Bowens went on to reveal that he solely identifies as gay in 2019.
At the time, in a video with his boyfriend, he said he no longer felt comfortable identifying as bisexual because he can only envision himself with a man.
In a recent interview with Paul Wight, Bowen talked about his experience.
"I represent the LGBQT community, I’m an openly gay professional wrestler so I had a lot of years living in fear of whether or not I’d be able to do this or not. So, to even be here is an incredible opportunity and I’m extremely grateful for it"
He tweeted:
5 years ago I was still closeted & living in constant fear about how coming out would affect my dream of wrestling. Last night, we got to sit down with @PaulWight & talk about it with the wrestling world. 🤯 Thank you @AEW for letting me be me. 🌈 #CriticallyAcclaimed #MicDrop pic.twitter.com/YwTKOy9wvP
