WWE is reportedly very much aware they have an aging roster and need to do something about it to protect the future of the company and help elevate younger stars over the next few years, especially against competition from AEW and NJPW.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that a doctrine has been laid out internally which states that the company wants to limit developmental signings to people under the age of 30 going forward, with exceptions being made for those who are stand out or have the potential to deliver elsewhere.
