NJPW Recently Turned Down AXS TV Return

NJPW was offered a return to AXS TV recently, but turned down the offer in favor of their recently announced Roku deal.

It was revealed on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that AXS TV was interested in bringing New Japan back, but the company felt Roku was better in terms of strategy.

NJPW has plans to air on a bigger network in the future and their current deal with Roku is not an exclusive one allowing them entry into the U.S. market and the ability to broadcast elsewhere should a bigger network come along, something AXS TV wouldn't have allowed.

NJPW broadcast on AXS TV from 2014 - 2019.
