Throughout 2020 the WWE Live schedule was severely impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and many have been left wondering when ticketed events will return.Â
During today's quarter four 2020 earnings call, Kristina Salen, WWE’s Chief Financial Officer, noted that WWE doesn’t expect a return to ticketed events until the second half of 2021. The situation remains uncertain due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The only ticketed event WWE has announced prior to this is WrestleMania 37, which will be held at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Florida on April 10th and 11th with a limited crowd in attendance.
Live event revenue in 2020 was reported to be 84% down at $19.9 million. WWE only held 42 events with fans in 2020 compared to the 310 events in 2019.
