Vice TV has announced it has renewed hit professional-wrestling docuseries “Dark Side of the Ring” for an extended 14-episode third season, which returns to screens in 2021.
The network has yet to reveal the subject matters for all 14 episodes, but given last season as a "mega-hit" for the channel they'll be looking to explore deeper into the dark side of professional wrestling.
Last season, “Dark Side of the Ring” explored the Chris Benoit murder-suicide, The Road Warriors, the murder of wrestler Dino Bravo, WWF’s “Brawl for All,” the career of hardcore wrestler New Jack, David Schultz assaulting “20/20” reporter John Stossel, the death of Jimmy Snuka’s girlfriend Nancy Argentino, Owen Hart’s tragic death and Herb Adams’ attempt to build a wrestling empire and take on the WWF.
