At tonight's WWE Backlash event, Randy Orton and Edge faced each other in a singles match that was dubbed "The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever."
The end result of the match saw Orton defeat Edge after hitting him with a low blow that went unseen by the referee, followed by a punt to Edge's head.
The match itself featured some nostalgia in the form of recorded ring introductions by the late WWE Hall of Famer Howard Finkel, as well as referee Charles Robinson dressed in an old school referee uniform. It was also announced before the match that enhanced camera angles and audio would be used, as the audio presented made it appear as though there was more of a normal live crowd feel.
