WWE Backlash: Results Of Universal Championship Match

At tonight's WWE Backlash event, the Universal Championship was defended, as Braun Strowman put the title on the line against The Miz and John Morrison in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match.

The end result of the match saw Strowman retain the title after pinning Morrison.

Prior to the match taking place, it was clarified that had either Miz or Morrison defeated Strowman in the match, then whoever scored the pinfall would be declared the sole Universal Champion rather than the two of them being able to share the title as co-champions.
