Original WWE Creative Plans For Becky Lynch Prior To Her Pregnancy Announcement

As seen on Monday's WWE Raw, Becky Lynch announced she is pregnant and taking time away from the ring and thus giving up her Raw women’s title to Asuka. 

In regards to the original creative plans for Lynch prior to her pregnancy, Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE knew of Lynch's pregnancy for around a month, she did appear on the Raw after WrestleMania in which she cut a promo to build to a possible rematch with Shayna Baszler.

The original plan for that match was for Shayna Baszler to win, leading to a return match with Lynch. Lynch would have successfully retained against Nia Jax at the same PPV. Obviously, plans were changed for Asuka to win the match and title instead. Asuka will now go on to feud with Jax and Baszler.
