Why Did Drew McIntyre Face Big Show After WrestleMania 36?

As seen on Monday's WWE Raw, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre was challenged by Big Show to a WWE Championship match after WrestleMania 36 went off-air and lost.

PWInsider is reporting the decision to do this was because the company wanted to put McIntyre over as strongly as possible, and that’s why they had Big Show lose to him on the same night as beating Brock Lesnar.

"The idea was to show McIntyre beating both Lesnar and Show in succession, taking out two of the biggest beasts in the company in one fell swoop."

WWE also wanted to put over Big Show’s new Netflix show.
