Former WWE Superstar Gregory 'Hurricane' Helms has spoken about a futile effort to change the name of the WWE's Cruiserweight Championship.
After AEW revealed plans to introduce a new TNT Championship, Helms took to Twitter and spoke about his effort to rename the Cruiserweight title (which he held at the time) the CW Championship, after the network that hosted SmackDown at the time.
I once asked VKM could I refer to the Cruiserweight Championship as the CW Championship since we were on the CW Network? He just looked at me and said, “Why would you do that?” I replied, “I guess I wouldn’t.” And I walked away. 😂🤷🏻♂️

Upon reflection, it's good that the name wasn't changed, as SmackDown wasn't on the CW for long.
