We previously reported, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE has no creative plans for Rusev, which is why he hasn’t been on TV of late.

In a fresh update, Meltzer reports that Rusev and WWE are in a contract dispute which if not resolved will lead to Rusev becoming a free agent soon.

Rusev has been originally advertised for the Men’s 2020 Royal Rumble match, but the company announced that he got into a fight with Lashley backstage and thus wasn't able to compete in the match.

Rusev recently changed his Twitter bio from "soon to be a free agent" to "add a bio to your profile."
