In an update on the wellness violation for WWE U.S. champion Andrade and his subsequent suspension, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio has provided more information regarding what happened.
WWE is reported to have learned about the violation yesterday and there was a last-minute rewrite of Monday's Raw in which they added in the segment where Humberto Carrillo DDT’ed the Andrade on the concrete floor, which will explain his absence on TV. This was not something that was originally planned.
In regards to why Andrade has not lost the U.S. title, the call to keep it on him was made by Paul Heyman. Heyman is "very high on Andrade" and felt that it was too early in their feud for Humberto to win the U.S. title.
Heyman is currently in the process of building up Andrade as a main event star and doesn't want to punish him any more than they have to right now.
Andrade’s suspension will last for 30 days.
