WWE Friday Night SmackDown Quick Results (11/29/19)

Below are quick results for tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

*Roman Reigns opens the show by congratulating Team SmackDown for winning their match at Survivor Series and thanks the members of his team by name, with the exception of King Corbin. Reigns says Corbin should instead thank him for winning the match, then calls Corbin out. Corbin refuses to thank Reigns, and when he is challenged to a match, Corbin refuses and says that Reigns should instead face Robert Roode.

*Roman Reigns def. Robert Roode. Following the match, Reigns is attacked by Corbin, Roode, and Dolph Ziggler. Roode puts Reigns’s head on a steel chair and attempts to hit it with Corbin’s scepter after taunting Reigns by mentioning his family, but Reigns counters and ends up spearing Roode through the ringside barricade before then tipping the announce table over onto him. Roode is then stretchered out of the arena.

*It is announced that next, Universal Champion Bray Wyatt will reveal the “new face” of the Firefly Funhouse.

*Universal Champion Bray Wyatt appears inside the Firefly Funhouse and talks about being thankful before then holding the title up in front of him. He says that if he has one, then “The Fiend” should have one as well. “The Fiend” is then shown with a custom version of the title with his mask on it. Wyatt then challenges Daniel Bryan to another match for the Universal Championship.

*A video is shown announcing the return of Sheamus, who says that he will make Friday Night SmackDown his.

*Mustafa Ali def. Drew Gulak.

*Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley come to the ring and talk down to the SmackDown women’s division losing their matches at Survivor Series, saying that the brand lost because the entire locker room let them down. Lacey Evans then comes to the ring and questions the leadership qualities of Bayley and Banks. Banks gets in Evans’s face before she is then hit with a Woman’s Right.

*Daniel Bryan is interviewed backstage about Bray Wyatt’s challenge, but before he is able to answer, Wyatt again appears in the Firefly Funhouse alongside Huskus the Pig Boy, who says that he ate too much and that the only thing that will make him feel better is if Bryan plays with them again. Wyatt then says everything we have been taught about Thanksgiving is a lie before going into a rap with Huskus about the first Thanksgiving being between “the Musclemen and the Reptilians.”

*Nikki Cross def. Sonya Deville. Following the match, Cross is attacked by Deville and Mandy Rose, but Alexa Bliss returns to make the save.

*Backstage, Drake Maverick walks up to Dana Brooke and mentions how it’s the holiday season before he then brings out some mistletoe and tries to kiss her. Brooke, however, rejects him and reminds Maverick that he’s married. Elias then makes his return, saying that he’s “been on a journey and has changed” before going into a musical performance.

*Kofi Kingston & Big E def. Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro in an Open Challenge Match to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

*Daniel Bryan comes to the ring and accepts Bray Wyatt’s challenge for a Universal Championship match. Wyatt then appears again in the Firefly Funhouse, saying that if Bryan chooses to go through with the match, “The Fiend” will only “remove his mask and show everyone his true form.” Wyatt then says that he promised everyone that we would see a “new face” tonight, saying that he never breaks a promise. The lights turn red and “The Fiend” suddenly appears from under the ring. Bryan tries fighting him off, but he is taken under the ring. “The Fiend” suddenly begin pulling tufts of hair up from under the ring and leaving them on the mat while laughing as the show ends.
