WWE Friday Night SmackDown: Results Of Tag Team Championship Open Challenge

During tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, New Day members Kofi Kingston and Big E issued an open challenge to any team on the brand’s roster to face them for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. The open challenge was answered by Cesaro and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura on behalf of Nakamura’s advisor, Sami Zayn.

Kingston and Big E were able to defeat Nakamura and Cesaro to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship after Zayn attempted to get involved in the match by trying to hit Kingston with the pancake platter, only to then be ejected from ringside by the referee. This allowed Kingston to hit Cesaro with Trouble in Paradise for the pinfall victory.
