Maryland Athletic Commission Investigating Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley Lights Out Match

The Maryland State Athletic Commission is reportedly formally investigating the Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley Lights Out match that took place at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view on November 9.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that former WCW announcer Chris Cruise reached out to the Maryland State Athletic Commission regarding the match and asked about the rules related to blading, matches continuing after a performer is bleeding.

He was reportedly told by the commission that wrestlers are prohibited from lacerating themselves or their opponents or introducing blood into the match. The commission said they were at the match and a doctor was assigned to the show.
