Ring of Honor issued the following press release:

Jay Lethal has held the ROH World Title for more combined days than anyone, and the ROH World Television Title for more combined days than anyone. But he has never been a co-holder of the ROH World Tag Team Title.

Jonathan Gresham is regarded as one of the greatest technical wrestlers in pro wrestling, but he has yet to get his first taste of gold in ROH.

Lethal and Gresham will have an opportunity to change all that when they face 11-time ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay and Mark Briscoe for the tag belts at the Final Battle pay-per-view on Dec. 13 in Baltimore.

Lethal suffered a broken arm on the final night of the Honor United UK tour in late October, but he has vowed that he will be good to go at Final Battle.

On the opening night of the UK tour, Lethal stunned the wrestling world when he blasted Jay Briscoe over the head with a chair, busting him open. Lethal and Gresham continued to assault the Briscoes before referees and security came out to separate them.

It was all very out of character for Lethal, who for months had chastised Gresham for cheating to win matches.

If Lethal and Gresham wanted to get the Briscoes’ attention, it worked. The Briscoes aren’t just looking to retain their title at Final Battle, they’re determined to make Lethal and Gresham pay for their actions in the UK.
