As previously reported, a hacker commenced a cyber attack Friday night on some of the social media accounts of 2K Games, including WWE 2K. As part of the attack, the hacker posted material of both a sexual and racist nature, which continued after it appeared as though control of the accounts had been regained by 2K Games representatives.
As of this report, it appears as though the hacker still has control over the WWE 2K Facebook page, as similar offensive material is still appearing there and has not been removed.
2K Games, meanwhile, has issued the following statement on their official Twitter page:
We are aware that social media accounts across the 2K label have been compromised and offensive material is being posted that does not reflect the values of 2K or our partners. We are actively working to fix this as soon as possible.
