WWE Attempted To Purchase Pro Wrestling NOAH, NXT Japan Rumored?

WWE has long been trying to establish a presence in Japan and part of that plan has been to launch an NXT Japan much like NXT UK.

There are rumors that NXT Japan could be the big announcement WWE has planned for Friday and Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer has confirmed WWE has been working on a project in Japan.

Meltzer revealed that WWE has talked with a number of companies in Japan about a potential deal and reportedly even tried to purchase Pro Wrestling NOAH, but the deal fell through.

In addition, Meltzer notes that WWE is trying to sign Japanese talent to become trainers for the new brand and Meltzer has some names rumored but hasn't been able to fully confirm.

WNS has teamed up with FITE TV to give you the chance to win a viewing pass for this Sunday's Impact Wrestling: Bound For Glory 2019 pay-per-view. We're also giving away two viewing passes to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 8 PPV, click here for more on Bare Knuckle or the banner below to enter for BFG!
