Jeff Hardy Had 'Fight With Wife' Shortly Before Latest DWI Arrest

WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy told officers that he had a fight with his wife, shortly before his arrest this month for driving while influenced.

Hardy, 42, was arrested on October 3, for Driving While Impaired and Driving on a Revoked License, and a police report obtained by TMZ has revealed more details.

According to the report, an officer at the scene questioned Hardy, who seemed to have dried blood on his nose"  and asked what had happened.

"The driver advised that him and his wife got into a fight."

The report reveals that officers from the Carthage Police Dept. in North Carolina received a tip about a careless and reckless driver around 8:40 PM, which was later discovered to be the former World Heavyweight Champion.

When police found the car, Hardy was parked in front of a liquor store and was carrying a case of beer.

Cops say Hardy admitted to taking 2 shots of vodka earlier in the night and he ultimately admitted to being impaired.

Despite the alleged fight, Carthage PD told TMZ they wouldn't be actively pursuing a domestic violence case, but are looking into it.

Hardy will appear in court on November 7 for the DWI charges, according to the PW Insider.

This is the latest in a series of brushes with the law for the Charismatic Enigma, who was arrested earlier this year for Public Intoxication.

A statement by WWE said:

“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.”

Jeff hasn't been on WWE TV since May, where he and brother Matt were forced to forfeit the SmackDown Tag Team Championships due to Jeff's leg injury.
