WWE Friday Night SmackDown: Cain Velasquez Makes Shock Debut, Attacks New WWE Champion Brock Lesnar

During tonight’s debut edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, former two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez made a shock debut following Brock Lesnar’s quick victory over Kofi Kingston to capture the WWE Championship.

Velasquez made his way to the ring accompanied by WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio, much to the surprise of Lesnar. Velasquez then entered the ring before taking Lesnar down and hitting him with repeated left and right-hand shots. Lesnar then quickly retreated as both Velasquez and Mysterio challenged Lesnar to re-enter the ring.

It had been recently rumored that Velasquez may be making some sort of appearance with WWE to work a program with Lesnar; however, at the time, nothing had been officially confirmed at the time.

Velasquez and Lesnar had previously faced one another in the UFC, specifically at UFC 121 in October of 2010. At that event, Velasquez defeated Lesnar to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
