CM Punk Was Reportedly Filming For A WWE Tryout This Week

Former WWE Champion CM Punk was at the FOX Studios this week in LA for a meeting regarding having an on-air role on the upcoming WWE Backstage studio show on FS1, according to PWInsider.

The report noted that Punk filmed test footage for the show. WWE’s Renee Young was also at the studio filming. The network has also met with former ECW Champion Taz, Sean Waltman, Rey Mysterio, and Paige for potential roles on the show.

Punk has reported been looking to make a transition into broadcasting and has done some commentary for MMA events of late.

Renee Young and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T will officially WWE Backstage on FS1 every Tuesday night at 11 PM ET starting November 5.
