Former Impact World Champion John Morrison is reportedly heading back to WWE, eight years after his departure.
Morrison, 39, previously worked with WWE from 2003-2011, and has penned a deal to return to the company, according to the PW Insider, though the report did not specify whether he would move to NXT or the main roster.
Morrison first joined the company as participating for the second season of Tough Enough, and earned a contract by winning season 3.
During his WWE tenure, Morrison captured both the WWE and World Tag Team Championships, as well as the Intercontinental and ECW World titles.
After his release, Morrison has been busy in various promotions such as Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling, holding the latter's World Championship earlier this year.
