The Miz On Using Ric Flair's Figure-Four Leg Lock, Dream Opponent

WWE RAW Superstar The Miz has said it was an honor to be given the Figure-Four Leg Lock by Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

Flair, who used the iconic submission throughout his iconic career, gave the move to the A-Lister in 2013, with Miz using the hold to win the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 29.

Speaking to Fightful, the former WWE Champion said it was an honor to be given the mood, and that this wouldn't have happened decades ago.

He said: "Back in the day, nobody did anyone else’s moves. No one could do a superkick because Shawn Michaels did the superkick. Now superkicks are almost like the new hip toss, the new arm drag.

"I felt it was a passing of the torch of the Figure-Four to me. And it was amazing. It was wonderful. It was one of the most incredibly giving things that someone can do."

Miz, who continues to use the Leg Lock today, also spoke about his dream opponents, and named the Ultimate Warrior as his all-time dream match.

"Man, my dream was always to wrestle Ultimate Warrior and it just sucks that he passed away," said Miz.

"But, man, when I was a kid growing up, I would put streamers on my arms, paint my face and run around like the Ultimate Warrior. So that would be my one dream."

Though he may have not faced Warrior, the Miz and Mrs star has faced several legends, including Shawn Michaels, The Rock and Bret 'Hitman' Hart.
