Kevin Owens Explains Why He Chose Not To Become The 24/7 Champion On SmackDown Live

WWE Superstar Kevin Owens has said his personal life was the reason why he chose not to win the 24/7 Championship on the most recent edition of SmackDown Live.

On this week's show, Owens levelled then-24/7 Champion Elias with a stunner after being mocked by the singer-songwriter, but chose not to cover him for the gold.

When asked why on Twitter, the Canadian said that he didn't want to focus on defending the title at all times, especially when he was with his wife and children.

I have a family.

I have 3 dogs and 3 cats.

I have responsibilities.

I can’t worry about being rolled up by some dude while I’m dropping my kids off at school or enjoying a lovely night out with my wife.

Though the Prizefighter didn't win the title, Elias would later lose the gold to Drake Maverick.
