SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley Says She's Hopeful For A Queen Of The Ring Tournament

Current WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley has said she hopes the company has a Queen of the Ring tournament in the future, after the return of the King of the Ring.

One of WWE's oldest traditions, the King of the Ring tournament was brought back this week on RAW, with 16 male Superstars vying for the crown.

In an interview with KSFY, the hugger said that she was pleased to see the tournament return.

She said: "There’s so much history to it. The fact that they brought it back is a dream come true for a lot of those guys."

Bayley, the first-ever female Grand Slam winner, also spoke about the possibility of a female counterpart.

"We kind of want a Queen of the Ring, if you guys could make that happen, I would love that," she said.

The King of the Ring tournament will conclude at Clash of Champions, that will take place September 15, and air live on the WWE Network.

At the event, Bayley will defend her SmackDown Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair.
