Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns has been strongly rumored to take place at Sunday's WWE SummerSlam, but WWE officials have reportedly been considering another match instead.
Insider Twitter WrestleVotes revealed that following an angle on Tuesday’s SmackDown Live, WWE has discussed Reigns vs. Buddy Murphy taking place at the biggest event of the summer.
In addition, a report from PWInsider notes that owing to the fact that WWE was unable to conclude the storyline between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan, their match will not be taking place at SummerSlam.
It will be interesting to see what direction WWE takes.
“There were discussions last night about adding Roman Reigns vs Buddy Murphy to the SummerSlam card after the angle that went down on SmackDown. Source said it wasn’t decided either way yesterday, but it remains a possibility as we get closer to the show this weekend.”
