Maria Kanellis Wins 24/7 Championship On WWE Monday Night Raw

On tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Maria Kanellis became the latest WWE Superstar to win the 24/7 Championship when she defeated her own husband, Mike Kanellis, to claim the title.

Maria won the title during a backstage segment with her husband, in which Mike expressed excitement about winning the title so that Maria could be proud of him, saying that he won the title for the both of them. Maria then ordered Mike to get down on his back because she was going to pin him for the title, claiming that by doing so, their unborn child would have a champion as a parent. Mike did as Maria told him to, which then led to Maria placing her foot on his chest and a referee executing the three-count, making Maria champion. 

Maria then walked out into the hallway, taunting multiple WWE Superstars with the 24/7 Championship and reminding them that she’s pregnant.

Maria’s victory not only marks her first reign as champion (as well as her first title in WWE), but also marks a historic moment by making her the first pregnant woman in WWE history to hold a championship.
