Mike Kanellis Wins 24/7 Championship On WWE Monday Night Raw

On tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Mike Kanellis defeated R-Truth to become the brand new 24/7 Champion.

Kanellis became the new champion after Truth and Carmella defeated Drake Maverick and his wife Renee Michelle in a Mosh Pit Mixed Tag Team Match, in which the championship was also on the line. During the match, the 24/7 rule had been suspended, but was immediately reinstated once the match ended.

After that match, the WWE Superstars surrounding the ring immediately entered and went after Truth, piling on top of him and causing the referee to execute a three-count. Kanellis then left the ring with the championship and was officially announced as the winner.

Kanellis’s victory marks his first reign as champion, as well as his first official championship in WWE.
