UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier has teased about facing Brock Lesnar in a WWE ring.
Cormier, 40, recently appeared at the ESPN ESPY awards, picking up the prize for 'Best MMA Fighter', and joked about wanting to fight the Beast in UFC, though the match never happened.
He said: "I was hoping to fight Brock Lesnar, but he didn’t. These guys [WWE] took him from me. Maybe I’ll follow him over there. We gotta do it in WWE.”
A rumored fight between the two stems from UFC 226 last year, where after winning the title, Cormier would engage in a physical altercation with the Money in the Bank holder.
Though Lesnar teased leaving WWE, UFC owner Dana White said earlier this year that Brock had told him he was retired from the Octagon for good.
Lesnar is now rumored to be appearing at this Sunday's Extreme Rules pay per view, where according to Paul Heyman, the Beast will cash in his MITB contract on either Universal Champion Seth Rollins or WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.
