Zachary Madsen, the man who allegedly attacked Bret Hart has had his arraignment postponed yet again, and will now face trial on September 9.
Madsen made headlines after a fan jumped the barricade at this year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and attacking Bret Hart during the former WWF Champion's second induction, this time for his work in the Hart Foundation.
After being arrested and a series of postponements, Madsen was scheduled for his arraignment earlier this week in New York, though this too has been postponed.
If his September 9 trial isn't postponed, Madsen faces a year in prison for assault in the third degree if found guilty.
Bret Hart himself has said that he felt bad for what happened, though feels the punishment Madsen suffered immediately afterwards was more than justified.
The punishment the Hitman is referring to is the beating Madsen took by many stars, including Travis Browne and The Revival’s Dash Wilder, so maybe he’ll think twice the next time he thinks about jumping the barricade.
The case continues.
