Jim Cornette recently took to his official Twitter page to issue criticism towards All Elite Wrestling’s recent Fyter Fest event, more specifically targeting the promotion’s “Buy-In” pre-show that aired prior to the actual event itself.
Cornette took aim at segments during the pre-show such as the Hardcore Match between Michael Nakazawa and Alex Jebailey, as well as the “shhhh fest” between Leva Bates and Peter Avalon during Bates’s match against Allie. Cornette also referenced complaints from fans regarding the chair shot taken by Cody from Shawn Spears following Cody’s match against Darby Allin, which resulted in a draw.
Below is Cornette’s tweet:
Seriously? An amateur "hardcore" match in a kiddie pool and dueling librarians having a "ssshhh' fest in just the first hour, and people are complaining about a potato with a chair? A little memory loss would benefit EVERYBODY who watches @AEWrestling 's "Buy-In" shows.
