Highspots Releases New Championship Wrestling from Florida Documentary on DVD

HighSpots.com has produced a new DVD documentary set for the old Championship Wrestling from Florida (CWF) promotion, which lasted from 1949 to 1987. CWF was a key member of the National Wrestling Alliance and had considerable exposure in the southern part of the United States.

CWF went out of business in 1987 and was merged with Jim Crockett Promotions.

The stars that appeared in the Florida territory over the years included "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Lou Thesz, "Big Thunder" Gene Kiniski, Kevin Sullivan, "Superstar" Billy Graham, Ray "The Crippler" Stevens, "Big Cat" Ernie Ladd, Terry and Dory Funk Jr., Jack and Gerald Brisco, Abdullah the Butcher, Dick Murdoch, "The British Lion" Billy Robinson, and countless other wrestling legends and hall of famers.
