WWE Stomping Grounds: Bayley Defeats Alexa Bliss To Retain The SmackDown Women’s Championship

At tonight’s WWE Stomping Grounds event, Bayley defeated Alexa Bliss to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

During this match, Nikki Cross was in Bliss’s corner, and had Bliss won, she would have brought the championship to Monday Night Raw.

Bayley was able to retain the title following a miscommunication from Cross, in which she entered the ring and inadvertently stopped Bliss from executing her Twisted Bliss finishing maneuver. As Bliss went for it again, Bayley got her knees up, then pinned Bliss after hitting a Bayley to Belly.
