Today, June 12, 2019 marks 16 years since one of the most iconic moments in WWE TV history.
After retaining the WWE Championship in a Stretcher Match (the first in 17 years), at Judgement Day, WWE Champion Brock Lesnar had thought he had seen the last of the Big Show.
Instead, the pair squared off once more for the gold on SmackDown, in what would later go down in history as a truly historic match.
In the closing segments of the bout, Lesnar used his superhuman strength to lift Show off the turnbuckle, delivering a gigantic Superplex that broke the ring.
Something never seen before in WWE, the moment was a true shock to everyone watching and set up for a rematch the following week.
With a reinforced ring on the June 19 show, Lesnar would retain the title via DQ, after being assaulted by Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin.
Though WWE has done the ring break a few times since that SmackDown, most recently in 2017 with Show and Braun Strowman, there will never be another quite like the first time.
