In the main event of tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, SmackDown LIVE Superstar Kevin Owens defeated Universal Champion Seth Rollins via disqualification due to Rollins placing his hands on Sami Zayn, who was appointed by Shane McMahon to serve as the special guest referee outside the ring.

During the match, Zayn repeatedly interjected himself, from stopping Rollins from attacking Owens to purposely distracting the referee. At one point, Rollins dove outside the ring onto Owens, and Zayn was inadvertently hit as well. As Rollins went for the pinfall victory, Zayn pulled referee John Cone out of the ring. He then entered the ring and confronted Rollins, which led to Rollins putting his hands on Zayn for the disqualification.
