WWE Monday Night Raw: Mr. McMahon Revises “Wild Card Rule” For Raw And SmackDown LIVE

As previously reported, on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Mr. McMahon announced that he would be instituting a special “Wild Card Rule” for both Raw and SmackDown LIVE, in which three Raw Superstars would be allowed to appear on SmackDown LIVE each week, and three SmackDown LIVE Superstars would also be allowed to appear on Raw each week.

In an update, McMahon appears to have now revised the “Wild Card Rule,” updating the number from three to four. The update came during a backstage segment in which McMahon was speaking to someone on the phone when SmackDown LIVE Superstar Lars Sullivan (who made a surprise appearance on Raw to attack No Way Jose and his conga line) knocked on the door and entered the room. McMahon stopped speaking, stared at Sullivan, then stated that he would instead be allowing four WWE Superstars from each brand to appear on opposing shows rather than three.

Additionally, during the segment, McMahon was also heard to state that any WWE Superstars who were not included as part of the “Wild Card Rule” for a week would either be suspended or fired from WWE.
