It's been announced that the legendary Chris Jericho will be challenging for the New Japan Pro Wrestling International Wrestling Grand Prix World Heavyweight Championship on June 9th at New Japan's Dominion event in Osaka, Japan.

The current NJPW IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, who captured the championship for the fifth time on April 6th when he defeated "Switchblade" Jay White.
