Backstage Update On Lio Rush's Future On The Main WWE Roster

Mike Johnson of PWInsider revealed that the word going around backstage in WWE during Monday’s Raw is that Lio Rush's heat is so bad that he will be heading back to NXT.

"The word backstage last night was that Lio Rush was likely going to be returning to the NXT brand."

Johnson indicates that this potential move stems from Rush being a polarizing figure backstage. Johnson cites Rush has not been adhering to “backstage etiquette” during a European tour last November and a few other issues. When given advice by the other talent Rush reportedly took his concerns about his treatment to WWE management which rubbed a lot of the veteran stats up the wrong way.

In addition, he has been bringing friends and relatives backstage without going through the proper channels. 

Rush released the following statement when initial reports of heat surfaced:

"The fact of the matter is no matter what you do you do in life, no matter what route you take, you'll always have people out t here that'll try to tear you down. Tell you that you can't be or do something. Try to stomp on your name and hault your success. The fact of the matter is that i love what i do and have been in love with the dreams of being in the current position that I'm in now since i was 5 years old . The fact of the matter is that i am a young, hungry, and humble husband and father of two boys who believes in himself more than anybody will ever believe in me. The fact of the matter is that i am a passionate African American male in America who takes my passion seriously and will do whatever it takes to change me and my family's situation.
